Moving to New Servers
cPanel will stop supporting Centos/CloudLinux 6.X in the near future and the only way to update the servers would be to reinstall the Centos/CloudLinux operating system, reinstall cPanel and set it up, then restore backups.
That process can take 4-5 hours per server to do which would mean the server would be down until everything is installed/setup and the backups restored.
To minimize downtime, new servers will be setup and then the sites transferred from the old server to the new server. This will pretty much eliminate any downtime.
Client servers will be set up with the same hostname/nameservers so the only thing that will change is the IP address. Nameservers will remain the same for the sites on the server. The only thing that will need to be updated is the IP address at the registrar for each nameserver after the move is complete. If your domain is registered through me, I'll have access to update the IP address so you won't need to do it.
If you have a shared hosting account, the nameservers may remain the same. If not, and the domain is registered through me, I'll be able to update the nameservers if need be.
I plan on starting this around 18 Feb 2019 and finish before 15 Mar 2019.
